Juanita Rodriguez

Juanita Rodriguez, beloved wife, mother, and grandmotherpeacefully passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 60 in her home in Wasco, Ca. surrounded by her family. She was born on January 19, 1963, in Pacoima, Ca. to Jose and Elena Trujillo.

Juanita grew up in Wasco and graduated from Wasco Union High in 1981. Juanita, most known as “Mrs. Juanita” worked for Semitropic School as the District Secretary but also carried many other roles during her 19 years of employment.

Juanita married Leonard Rodriguez on June 14, 1986, in Wasco where they later had 4 kids. They were happily married for 37 years. Juanita was involved with numerous clubs and organizations including the Wasco FFA Booster Club, Wasco Little League, and Wasco Performing Arts Association to name a few. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and gardening with all her kids and grandkids as well as accompanying her husband on service calls.

Juanita is survived by her spouse Leonard Rodriguez; her children Leonard Jr. and spouse Holley Rodriguez, Adriana and spouse Yonathan Rocha, Erica Rodriguez and spouse Manuel Arceo, Jose Rodriguez and spouse Jorge Ojeda, Arnold andspouse Elizabeth Reyna; her sisters Maria Sierra, Theresa Trujillo, Andrea Ruiz, Martha Gutierrez; Her grandchildren Nathan and Emma, Alyssa, Samantha, Elijah, Dominic, Christopher, Olivia, Mia, Manuel Jr., Angelica and Andrea and many others who saw her as a mother and grandmother figure.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Elena Trujillo.

A funeral service and public visitation will be held at Basham & Lara Funeral Care 343 State Ave., Shafter, Ca. 93263 on Thursday July 13th from 4 pm – 8 pm. A graveside burial service will be held at the Wasco Cemetery on Friday July 14th at 11:00 am.
