Judy Brown was born in Casper, Wyoming, March 19, 1941 to her father Jacob Schwartzkopf and mother Dolma Peterson. Judy had two older brother's Larry and Jack Schwartzkopf. After high school graduation, Judy headed west to San Francisco.
Her career began in Reno, where she started in the banking industry, with Nevada National Bank. Judy then came to Bakersfield, California in 1981 to work for American National Bank. She owned a Super Cuts in Las Vegas for a number of years. Her last career was with Verizon Wireless, where she eventually retired.
She was a devoted lady of our Lord. She was also a missionary, where she traveled to Africa with our pastors from Vessels of Honor. While in Africa, she mostly worked with children and eventually had a school in Nigeria named after her.
Most of all she could lighten up the darkest room with just her presence and always saw the best in everyone no matter what.
She was a devoted mother of three children and three grandchildren. Judy taught the importance of family and shared her loving heart with all of us.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 11:00am, at Vessels of Honor Ministries (225 Chester Ave)
