Kathy Lee Wood

Kathy Lee Wood (Stroud) March 21, 1951 – April 29, 2022 Kathy was taken to heaven early Friday morning April 29, 2022 while at home, she was 71 years old. Born the first child of Jack and Willa Dean Stroud in Bakersfield, Ca. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Willa Stroud, brother Kenneth Stroud and husband Billy Wood. She is survived by her sister Karleen Warren, brother Kirk Stroud, in laws, nieces and a nephew as well as many great nieces and nephews. Kathy never had children of her own but was beloved by many. Countless children called her “Aunt Kat” and would be spoiled with treats when they were around her. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing board games, watching movies and listening to music. Kathy was an avid reader, she loved to cook and enjoyed sharing meals with family and friends. Kathy graduated from Atascadero High School in 1969, attended Bakersfield college and later completed a course through M.A.O.F. to become a Medical Assistant. She then began working in Pediatric from 1984 to 1997 for Dr. Hashukh Amin. After retiring she donated time doing bookkeeping for her church Faith Lighthouse along side her beloved Aunt Jean. She enjoyed serving her church family and spending time there with friends. Kathy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
