Kim Walker, 63 years of age, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016. His last days had been filled with visits from friends and family. Kim always celebrated Christmas on the 24th of December with his family and this year he accepted a personal invitation to celebrate the birthday of Jesus in person with all of Heaven.Kim was born in Salem, Oregon to Lauren and Clara Walker. He came to Bakersfield in February of 1988 on a temporary job assignment. During this time he met Brenda Denny at church, and three months later he became a permanent resident as a husband to Brenda and became a father of her two daughters, Macie and Brianne.He is survived by his loving parents, Lauren & Clara Walker, his brothers and their spouses, Kenny & Janice Walker, Steve & Jamie Walker, Mark & Kim Walker, Matt & Lori Walker, Tim Walker, and his sister, Rene Clarambeau; by his wife, Brenda Walker, his Daughters, Macie Denny, Brianne and her husband, Terry Brown, and his two grandsons Jacob Brown and Maison Hillis.Once he became"Papa", his favorite hobbies became creator of strange things with Legos and Play-Doh, taking walks to explore rocks and other interesting items, pulling wagons, riding bikes and going to zoos on practically every vacation they went on.We miss you.Viewing is from 5-7 pm on Monday, January 2nd at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St).
