Larry Alan Davis passed away on July 16, 2020 after battling lymphoma. Larry was born June 1, 1940 in Delano, California. He grew up on the family farm, Alina Farms, in McFarland, California and spent the majority of his life farming cotton, almonds, and fruit. He also farmed for a few years in Wee Waa, Australia on the family cotton farm there. Later, after semi-retiring from farming, Larry taught math, chemistry, & physics at Valley Christian High School and then Bakersfield Christian High School. Larry is survived by his brother Gerald Davis. He also leaves behind his six daughters: Vickey Campos (Melvin), Pamela Carroll, Deborah Bega (Tom), Debra Harrer (Jim), Wendy Pulido (Norman), and Pamela Crain (Geoffrey). Also remaining are 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and countless "spiritual children" who were touched by his ministry of love, deliverance, and hospitality. Over the years, Larry's home was always open to countless individuals as he ministered Jesus' love to them, including foster children and other young people through church connections. His desire was to teach them work skills and give them a safe place to experience Jesus' healing grace and love. He had a huge heart and a generous spirit showing love and acceptance to all he met. We rejoice that he is now pain free, healed, and celebrating with his Savior but cannot express how much we will miss his unconditional love, laughter, and spiritual guidance here with us.
For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
-Philippians 1:21
