Lori Smith Born December 19, 1969 Passed away August 22, 2020



Lori was born on December 19, 1969 to Carl and Pat Smith, in Bakersfield, CA. She attended local schools and graduated from North High class of 1988. As a child, she grew up in Frazier Park until her family moved back to Bakersfield in 1979. During Lori's younger years, she enjoyed racing go carts and off-road racing with her dad and brother. Lori had many special pets; including her Siamese kitties and her English bull dogs, Miss Whinkles and Max. Lori was diagnosed as a teenager with Cystic Fibrosis. At the age of 29, during a routine medical procedure, Lori suffered a stroke. She overcame many challenges and was cared for by her parents. Lori is proceeded in death by her dad, Carl Smith; her brother, Brent Smith; and both maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her mother, Pat Smith; Aunt Carol (Stuart); along with cousins; Tara, Kari (Ryan) and Lacey (Bill). Second Cousins; Sean and Cale Jones & Charlee, Reese and Piper Lane.

Services will be at Basham Funeral Home on Niles, Friday, September 11, 2020 at 10am with a lunch to follow at the home of Stuart and Carol Townsend.
