Paul Leopoldo Pena October 26, 1926 - September 13, 2020
Paul Leopoldo Pena passed from our world into the arms of our Lord and Creator, September 13, 2020. He was born to Vincente and Florinda Pena, October 26, 1926 in Luling, Texas. Much of his childhood was spent there.
He lived in Bakersfield, California all his adult life. He enlisted in the United States Navy May 1st during World War II. When he returned, he worked for the Griffith Company until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nellie Padilla; son, Gabriel and daughter, May Elda. They were a very close-knit family with strong religious values and lived an exemplary life.
He is survived by his grandson, Lucas Martinez; grandchildren, Issac and Deanna Martinez from Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially by his family.
A visitation will be held Thursday October 8, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St.) A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday October 9, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe (4600 E. Brundage Ln.) Interment will follow at Union cemetery. Condolences may be left on Paul's online guestbook at www.bashamfuneralcare.com
