Lillie Mae Smith

Lillie Mae Shiver was born to Edmund Shivers of Oklahoma and Mozel Guins of Texas on July 18, 1943 in Los Angeles, California. Lillie attended elementary school in Corcoran, California. She attended Jr. High at Lincoln Jr. High School and high school at Bakersfield High School. She was employed for over 30 years as a cook and "and boy could she throw down in the kitchen". Between the years of 1957 to 1970 "Lillie" bore eight children. She loved to travel and from talking on the phone for a couple of years she made her way to Waldo, Arkansas where she met the love of her life in person, Erva Jae Smith aka (Baby). The two fell in love and united on March 6, 2012. Her and baby loved to go fishing and to play bingo. If you knew Mrs. Lillie her favorite hobby was getting somebody to take her to the casino. In September of 2016 Lillie buried old baby and continued life enjoying those memories with her grands and great grands. You couldn't tell her nothing about her babies. Mrs. Lillie was a rock and a jewel to be in her presence was an honor. She was sincere and genuine especially if she loved you. What you see is what you get she told it like it is with a whole lots of laughter. Mrs. Smith is proceeded in death by her mother and father Edmund and Mozel; her husband, (Baby); her four brothers, Sylvester Star, Leroy Shivers, Curtis Lenoir and Philip Shivers; two sons, Kenneth Kelly and Jeffrey Brown; and three great grandchildren, Jordan Jimmy Gray, Brodie Jovan Burns, and Journee Nevaeh Burns. She leaves to cherish four siblings, Liza Sullivan, Mary Wright, David and Vivian Wilson, Jerry and Karen Murray and a sister in law, Hazel McDaniel; eight children, Clifford Brown, Jr., Robert Lee Ford, Sr., Lawanda Brown and love Jimmy Owens, Leedra and Vernon Brothers, Jr., and Sherri Watson, Nina Wall and love Michael Lomax; fifteen grandchildren, Tiffany Turner, Clifford Brown III, Kevin and wife Latoya Burns, Brandon Burns, Ashley Johnson, Joshua Brooks, Taeveontray Ford, Alysha Ford, Brittany Burns, Courtney Shivers, Amber Watson, Alexis Campbell, Shaquille Shivers, Eric Orebaugh and Trayvon Nichols; forty five and a half great grandchildren and one great great grand on the way; and a host of relatives and friends. Of those great grands Jameela Turner and Kevin Jones, Jr. aka (Boo Baby) were her daily specials that just couldn't be without her nor her them. Special children in love, Lavern Wade, Garry Brown and Charles Fisher.
