Our mother's departure to Heaven on August 3, 2023, broke our hearts. Linda Carol Stubblefield was welcomed into this world on September 1, 1950, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Charlie and Gladys McCuan. The family moved to California when she was just six years old, packing up everything they had. She grew up in Lamont with her siblings after losing both of her parents at a young age. Through her brother Jack, she met her first love, Cecil Young. Cecil and Linda married on June 1, 1971, and raised their two beautiful daughters Trina and Wendy until Cecil's untimely death in 1989. The following years were difficult for Linda but she was fortunate to find true love again with Charles Stubblefield. Charles and Linda married in May 1996 and were deeply in love until Charles' death in June 2021. After Charles passed, Linda would spend her remaining time on earth traveling with her bestie Michelle Sandoval, shopping with her daughter Trina, staying days and nights with Wendy, going out to eat with her brother Bobby, visiting her sister Sue and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Gladys McCuan, brothers Jack and Joe McCuan, sisters Ouida Bayird and Frances Powell, her nephew AJ Stubblefield, her husband Cecil Young and her true love Charles Stubblefield. She is survived by her brothers Bobby, Richard and Gene McCuan and her sisters Sue Stubblefield and Jeanette Breeding. Her daughters Katrina Beyiard (Johnny Morales), and Wendy Serda (Daniel Serda); Grandchildren Breann Aguilar (Ricky Watts), Garrett Beyaird Stubblefield (Korie Covington), Colt Morales (Hannah McLeod), Brock Rushing, Brady Serda (Reagan Poe) and Lauryn Serda (Zavana Gonzalez) and step grand-daughter Michelle Reed (Joey Reed); Great Grandchildren Cohen and Charlee Watts, Millie and Elsie Stubblefield, Karston and Malakai Serda, Kyler Rushing and Baby G Serda arriving in December.
The family would like to give a special thank you to RoseAnn Green and Martha Serda for all of the love and support you showed to our mother while she was sick.
