Longino Elijio Gonzales Jr. "Kino"

Longino Elijio Gonzales lll (Kino) 63, passed away on January 5,2023 At Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA.  Kino was born on August 7th in Bakersfield, CA to Longino and Margie Gonzales.  Kino grew up in Shafter, CA where he enjoyed riding bikes with his siblings and neighborhood kids on Walnut St.  Kino graduated from Shafter High School in 1977, where his love of music influenced his Saxophone play in the high school band.  Kino married his love of his life Sandra Chacon of Shafter, CA. They were happily married for 42 years. Together they enjoyed camping, going on cruises and traveling the world and spending a lot of time with family. Kino worked for GAF in Shafter CA, as an Asphalt Control Operator where he dedicated 28 years and was awarded numerous achievements. The GAF family is missing a big part of the company with his loss. Kino was a avid camper and loved his music and was known to be a human jukebox. Kino was known for his affectionate personality and big smile and would give you the shirt off his back in a moments notice and an all around great man. Kino was the oldest of his siblings and was always guiding and protecting them growing up till his last day. Kino lived a wonderful life with the people he loves the most and lived in the moment. Kino touched many people with his sense of humor and is going to be missed everyday. Kino is survived his parents Longino and Margie Gonzales and  by his wife Sandra; his 3 sons Longino Gonzales, Lelan Gonzales and Lucas Gonzales. His Brother Peter Gonzales; and sisters Christina Smart, Andrea Hernandez and Marina Dunn. His grandchildren Faith Gonzales, Natalie Gonzales, Grace Gonzales, Audryna Gonzales, Layla Gonzales, Kaleb Gonzales and joins Hope Gonzales in Heaven.
