Luella grew up on a farm in Nebraska. That is where she helped her father on the farm with crops and the farm animals. She attended school there also. She met the love of her life there, Donald Mattox. They were married June 20th, 1949. They had two children, Rodney and Connie. The y remained in Nebraska until 1957 when they moved to Bakersfield, CA. The bought their home on Easter St. and that's where Luella and her family continued to live. Luella worked in the Medical field for a number of years and then at CE Natco as an office worker, until she retired. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She always went out of her way to help others. She loved to cook and everyone loved getting together for dinners at her home. She loved going to yard and Estate sales. She loved looking for a bargain. In the last few years as her health declined she still wanted to go to Estate sales. In Luella's final days she wanted her family to be sure that they knew how much she loved them. She told them all how much they meant to her.
Luella will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
