Lynnda Kaye Kidd
October 18, 1951 — January 30, 2019
Lynnda Kaye Kidd, age 67, passed away on January 30, 2019. To the very end of her life, even in her final moments, Lynnda demonstrated her strong Christian faith both in prayer and song. Her "goofball" humor never failed to lift the spirits of all around her; joking with family, friends, and her doctors and nurses both at CBCC and Bakersfield Heart Hospital.
As a loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend, Lynnda was there whenever there was need. Taking "Me-MI" to their hair appointments and doctor visits, providing love and support to her daughter, Diane Lynn Bilyeu, granddaughter, Kylie Allison Faith Bilyeu, and grandson, Christopher Ryan Cockrum, being a loving sister, aunt and cousin to all of her extended family, and a constant and faithful sister in Christ to her "Ladies" and fellow parishioners at her beloved church Crossroads Christan Fellowship. Most importantly to her was that she be known as a "woman after God's own heart" in her daily walk with her Lord.
Lynnda is preceded in death by her father, Melton Eugene Bilyeu, and her grandsons, Andrew Christopher Scott Douglas and Justin Kylar Scott Douglas. Survivors include her mother, Marvena Evelyn Bilyeu; her daughter, Diane Lynn Bilyeu, her grandson and granddaughter; Christopher Ryan and Kylie Allison Faith, her brothers and sisters, Michael (Donna), Jacquilyn (Dale), Doyle (Laura), Michele (Allen), and Dwayne; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces.
A special thank you to Pastor Kenny Souers, and friend Teri Thompson for being there when they were needed. To Brenda, a big thank you for years of making her look beautiful. To the many doctors and nurses at CBCC and Bakersfield Heart Hospital for their care and kindness during her illness. To our beloved "Lynnda", from your family, we will love and miss you until we meet again.
A memorial service is being held at 3 P.M., Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 2500 Fairfax Rd, Bakersfield, CA, 93306. In lieu of flowers, donations to a GOFUNDME account under "Lynnda Kidd" is being asked to assist her immediately family with expenses.
