Maclovio M. Garza

Maclovio was born in Laredo, TX and raised in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. He proudly served in the Army Air Corp. and rose to the rank of Sargent during World War II and served in the Asian Pacific Theater. In Oct. 1944 he married Elida Sanez, they had four sons, Joey, Hignacio, Carlos and Martin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Garza and Martina Matamoros; his spouse, Elida S. Garza; and his sister, Concha Garcia. He is survived by his four sons, Joey, Hignacio, Carlos (Angie) and Martin (Nancy); 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St.) from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (900 H St.) at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Historic Union Cemetery (730 Potomac Ave.) For additional information please contact Basham Funeral Care at 873-8200
