Manuel Padilla Negrete June 3, 1948 to November 12, 2019
Manuel passed away quietly after a long battle with cancer. He is survived and missed by his wife Estela; daughter Rosa Calafut, son-in-law Robert, grandson Steven Ramirez Jr, grandson Christian Ramirez; daughter Estela Stewart, son-in-law Corey, grandson Javier Martinez, partner Alyssa Gors, Dianna Martinez, great grandson Dametro Thompson, great-grandaughter Maverick; daughter Elizabeth Padilla, granddaughter Kimberly Ruiz, grandson Adrian Ruiz; daughter Maria Farkus, son-in-law Andrew, grandson Brandon ; daughter Edith Muralles, son-in-law Mario, granddaughter Natalie. As well as his brother Juan (Maria), Ruben (Felicitas), Maximiano (Beatriz), Macario (Yolanda), sisters Consuelo, Angelica, Maria De Jesus (Jose Luis), Guadalupe (Antonio); as well as countless nephews, nieces, and other relatives. He was pre-deceased by his mother Maria De Jesus, father Macario, brother Raul, brother Fernando, and nephew Antonio Barajas.
Manuel came to know the Lord later in life as he was saved and baptized on November 13, 2016. He was an active member of Liberty Christian Center before he became ill. He had no formal education but loved to learn. This loved for learning made him an avid reader. He was a loving father and always worked very hard to provide for his family. He worked in the fields for many years before starting his career at Grimmway Farms from which he retired after 15 years. He loved to fish, the outdoors, and gardening. He had an impressive ability to make things grow and could never find the ability to throw a plant away; he wanted to save them all.
A service honoring Manuel Padilla Negrete will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at Liberty Christian Center. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by service at 12 noon.
