Marge Fernandez, at age 90 Went to be with our Lord peacefully on October 11th 2021 in her hometown of Bakersfield ,California. surrounded by her loved ones. Margie was born to Ralph and Claudina Urrea on November 28th 1930. Margie was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond Fernandez, sisters Adelina Urrea, Ramona Alvarado, Mongie Bonilla, Evelyn Sabedra, and Son Frank Grijavla, and her very special grandson Sean Vaquera. She is survived by her children Ralph Castro (wife Lupe), Nancy Vaquera (husband George). 9 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren and sister Sevie (George) Medina, and Recently deceased Julie Salcido. numerous nieces, nephew's, God children, and in-laws. her Legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who interacted with her. Margie truly live life to the fullest through Simple Pleasures, chatting with her sisters, visiting with family and occasionally playing cards, Bingo, and her favorite slot machines. She was an elder with the Chalon Indian Nation, a devout catholic and a life long member of Our Lady Guadalupe Church. She was a dedicated Dodger fan. Anyone who met Margie quickly recognized her passion for singing and dancing. Many would describe Margie as a free spirit, fearless and an independent woman. She was hard working and worked many years in the restaurant industry.
