Maria Desilagua Diaz was born September 2nd, 1948 in El Centro, CA to Ricardo and Guadalupe Diaz. Her family moved to Bakersfield in 1954, here she attended Jefferson Elementary, Sierra Jr. High and East High School. She married Miguel M. Rodriguez in 1965, she moved to Antelope Valley in 1982, where she worked as an aircraft inspector for McDonald-Douglas, out of Long Beach, commuting daily, but loved her job tremendously. She returned to Kern County in 1999, where she enjoyed life surrounded by her family. Mary went home to be with her Heavenly Father on October 17th, 2017, she is preceded in death by her parents Ricardo and Guadalupe Diaz, her brothers Joe, Francisco, and Richard Diaz. She will always be loved and thought of with adoration by those that were fortunate to know her. She is survived by her ex-husband Miguel Rodriguez, her children Michelle Perez (Jose), Monique Rodriguez, Matthew Rodriguez (Frances), Maria Landin (Gilbert), and Robert Villareal and 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Not to forget, her sister and brothers, David, Cecilia, Guadalupe, Miguel, and Robert Diaz and numerous nieces and nephews. Our family would like to thank Pastor Aniceto Hernandez of Christ Centered Church and Pastor Pablo Ramirez of Grace Apostolic Church for all of their help and consideration during this time.
