Maria Luisa Sanchez, "Abuela/Nana," age 71, born on January 1, 1948 passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. She was a member of the Apostolic faith at Iglesia Nueva Vision Apostolic Church. She enjoyed attending many church clean up days as well as the weekly services. She was a hard working woman with great spiritual depth. Maria enjoyed gardening and sewing in her home in Wasco, CA. Maria was also an extraordinary cook as shown by her involvement in many gatherings. Maria was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many she encountered. Preceded in death by her father Cayetano Morales and her mother Regina Rosales. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jose Sanchez; daughters, Josephine Oliver and her husband Dustin and Esmeralda Thomas and her husband Josh; sons, Jose Luis Sanchez and Pedro Sanchez; grandsons, Diego Sanchez and Pete Jr. Sanchez; granddaughters, Shady Lee Demoss, Ashley Denise Chapnick, Kassandra Marie Oliver, Ariel Lee Vanscoy, Cameron Marie Atwell, Zoey Sanchez, Margarita Sanchez, Jereny Brooke Atwell, Makayla Sanchez, Honey May Sanchez, Haley Sanchez and Abigail Sanchez and many great grandchildren. The family will welcome all friends and family of Maria Luisa Sanchez on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 5PM-9PM at Basham & Lara Funeral Care in Shafter, CA. 93263; as well as at Maria's burial service Friday, May 3, 2019 starting at Basham & Lara Funeral Care in Shafter, CA. followed by burial at Wasco Cemetery, hwy 46 & N.
