Marilyn Brodie went to be with our Lord on August 27, 2016. She was born on December 8, 1933 to Kenneth and Florence Miller in San Francisco, CA. Marilyn was preceded in death by both of her parents, husband Samuel Brodie, and daughter Debra Lynn Brodie. She is survived by her daughter Janet Stotts, son-in-law Daryl, daughter Lisa Warner, sister Janet Tomlin (John), grandchildren Samantha Grealish (Ricky), Daryl Stotts II, Peyton Warner, great-grandson Liam Grealish, and many cousins, nieces and nephews, and in-laws.Marilyn graduated from San Jose State University in 1955 with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Teaching. She loved the profession of teaching and even after leaving the profession to raise her family continued to engaged in school events as a volunteer and booster. Marilyn was a very familiar face at Monache High School from 1976-1982 as a "Drill Team and Concert Choir Mom".Marilyn was an accomplished pianist and had a great talent for oil painting. She blessed many family and friends with her completed projects. Marilyn loved family and friends and cherished having them around her.A "Celebration of Life" service will be held on September 26, 2016 at 10am at Basham-Hopson Funeral Home (620 Oregon St.) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the March of Dimes or the American Cancer Society .
