Mary Lucille Gomez was born on July 22, 1943 in Stockton, California to Lorraine Andrade and Bralio Zubia. Mary grew up in Bakersfield, California and married the love of her life, Abran Ontiveros Gomez on January 1, 1962. Mary and Abran had two children, Diana and Abran Jr. Mary worked as a store clerk, and was a gifted homemaker. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. Mary enjoyed being around her friends and family, especially all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they were the light of her life. Mary was the type of person that would help anyone in need id she could, she loved cooking for people and her kitchen was never closed. Mary also had a funny sense of humor. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, whose greatest passion was helping others. She will be missed dearly!
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Bralio and Lorraine Zubia; brothers, Alex and Frank Zubia; mother and father in law, Abran and Reyes Gomez; brother in laws, Jesse Gomez and Simon Ontiveros, Louie Gomez; sister in laws, Rosie Ontiveros and Mary Lou Gomez. She is survived by her husband, Abran Gomez; children, Diana and Eddie Mijarez and Abran Gomez Jr.; grandchildren, Mary and Gabe Johnson, Thalia Gomez and Edward Mijarez; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Cole and Maya Johnson, Madison, Isaiah, Alexis, Isabel, Josh and Josephine Mijarez; brothers, David and Lucy Zubia and Joe and Lavenia Zubia; sister in laws, Marcy and Joe Granillo, Mary and Willie Flores; brother in laws, Angel and Terry Gomez and Frit Gomez; and many of nieces, nephews and cousins that she all loved dearly.
