Jean was born July 6, 1943 to Riley and Maudie Powell in Linden, Texas. Jean went to Heaven to join her loved ones on July 21, 2020. She passed away peacefully at her home, with family by her side.
Jean married the love of her life, Jessie Ray Ledbetter, on March 6, 1959 in Arvin, California. Jean was a beloved mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend. She was the rock of the family.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Maudie Powell; sisters, Louis Woens, Pauleen Powell, Millie Ann Strotten and Dorothy Ledbetter; son, Lenard Ledbetter and great granddaughter Aurara German.
Her legacy will live on through her survivors, husband of 61 years, Jessie Ray Ledbetter; children, Connie Emery (Robin), Lillie Ledbetter, James Allen Ledbetter; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 5 fur grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews.
Mary loved her Pepsi, word puzzles and eating strawberry ice cream. She was spoiled by all who loved her, especially her husband.
