MelvinAnn Coleman, was born August 8th,1948 to Lucille Hargrave and Melvin Hargrave. She became very responsible at the young age of 8 years old where she would go out to pay bills all on her own(the cashiers would have to look over the counter to see her). She graduated from East High School in Wichita, Kansas. In April 1967 she became a loving Mother to her Son, soon after 2 Beautiful Daughters. Annie was an all around loving person. She was a Nurse in Witchita, Kansas(and charted by hand as she would always say). She resided in Los Angeles, CA for many years where she became a Crossing Guard and the BEST Soul Food Cook (any food) including pastries of all kinds. Her food was so good it would melt in your mouth. She later moved to Bakersfield, CA in the early 90s where she resided for 30 years calling it her home. In 1996, she met the love of her life Willie Mosley(Baby as they would call eachother), who became her Common Law Husband after 2 years until present day. She found God at an early age, from then on she became our Prayer Warrior. She helped many people to get their lives back on track and turn their lives around. Before you would get off the phone or leave her you MUST say her favorite prayer with her “May The Lord Watch” Ann is preceded in death by her mother Lucille Hargrave, her father Melvin Hargrave, grandmother Mary Cotton, grandfather Fred Cotton, brother Leon Stokes, grandson Rickey Coleman Jr., granddaughter Jasmine Mitchell, great grandson Kurtis “Bubba” Haliburton II, niece Kimeon Butler, and great great nephew Maurice Cobbs. She leaves to cherish her memories her 3 children Rickey Coleman(Mona Coleman) Rochelle Bowen(Jerry Bowen) and Kimberly Coleman. Her Comman Law Husband Willie Mosley, siblings Mae Delia Butler of Los Angeles, CA Billie Jean Andrews of Austin, TX. Her grandchildren Eric Thompson(9 kids), Turhon Richardson(1 child), La’Quesha Coleman(3 kids), Symone Coleman, Starasia Jennings(1 child), A’Shanee Thompson, Jermisha Kelly(4 kids) Randall Jones, De’Vontae Randle, Sade Randle and Christopher Coleman. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
