Miguel Juarez

Our beloved Miguel Juarez Sr. passed away on October 31st, 2021, unexpectedly. He was born March 11th, 1956, in Bakersfield CA to Saturnino and Juanita Juarez. He is dearly loved by his family and friends, and he will be missed for eternity. Miguel met his wife Mary Juarez in the late 60s and went on to create a beautiful life. They have three children: Michelle Juarez, Guadalupe Juarez, and Miguel Juarez Jr. Later in his life his grandchildren Thomas Juarez, Brittany Juarez Cisneros, Luke Juarez. Including his great grandchildren Jordan Juarez, Jayden Juarez, and Darlene Rose Castillo. Prior to his passing he retired from Bakersfield City School District as a lead maintenance worker for 22 years. His passions include working on cars, cruising, and going to car shows. He was a former member of the Classic Dreams Car Club and started his own club with his son Bombas Por Vida where he continued cruising with all his favorite classic cars. He was also passionate about spending time with his family whether it be playing the guitar with his grandson, working on cars with his kids, or admiring his great grandchildren as they grew. Anyone who came across Miguel was touched by his kindness, humor, and inspired by his wisdom he shared with others. He was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve and the rock of his family. He will never be forgotten, as his memories and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. Those who were blessed to have shared a moment with him understand that his existence left an imprint on their lives that surpassed the time that he stayed here. He is preceded in death by his parents Saturnino and Juanita Juarez, brother Mario Juarez, sister Francis Juarez, in-laws Vicente and Victoria Hernandez. Leaving behind his sisters Estella Appodaca, Magdalena Garza, his brothers Jose Juarez, and Louie Juarez. He is survived by his wife Mary Juarez, three children, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren as well as his extended family and an abundance of friends. We will all miss him more than words can say, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again in Heaven. Funeral services in his memory include the Rosary on Monday, November 22nd, at 6pm at Basham Funeral Home located at 3312 Niles St Bakersfield CA 93306. Mass will be held at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tuesday, November 23rd, at 10AM located at 4600 Brundage Ln 93307. Following the Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery at River Blvd, Bakersfield, CA 93305. Pallbearers: Luke Juarez, Obed Ramirez, David Castillo, Saturnino Appodaca, Johnny Juarez Jr, Mickey Rios, Andrew Juarez, and Raymond Trevino.
