It is with heavy hearts but joyous spirits we are announcing the passing of Monida June Fearon of Taft, California on February 4, 2025. Monida was born in Pampa, Texas on May 14, 1939, to Dyke and Lucille Miller. Her family moved to California in 1944, where she met and married Richard (Dick) Fearon in 1959. Soon after they started their family, and were blessed with three little girls. Her passions in life were her Church, her strong faith in her Lord Jesus, and her Music. Monida was an extremely accomplished piano player, able to play anything once she heard it. In the 60s and 70s, she taught piano lessons in her home to many students. She played for hundreds of weddings and city events in Taft. She was the pianist / organist for multiple churches over her career. Monida retired from her organist position at First United Methodist Church of Taft, where she also helped lead the church choir, something she enjoyed tremendously. In her spare time, Richard and Monida enjoyed going on cruises and vacationing in Sequoia, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, mother, father, and sisters. Monida was preceded in death by her husband Richard Fearon, father and mother Dyke and Lucille Miller, and granddaughter, Danielle Luna.
