Also very special people to him, nephew Philip and his wife Angela and niece Laura. He was preceded in death by his parents Charlotte and Dr. Charles H. Burger, brother Michael, uncle Willy, and grandson Talon Flury.
Nick was born on March 6th, 1945 to Charles and Charlotte in Santa Monica, CA. He graduated on to Garces High, where he was captain of the football team, then graduated top of his class.
He worked for Getty Oil for 15 years as head well puller, then traveled the coast of California with Kim delivering thoroughbred race horses to different tracks. Nick and Kim moved back to Santa Monica and enjoyed the beach life for 14 years and have made a home together here in Bakersfield since September 2013.
Nick had many friends that loved to sit and visit with him. Bo Bispo, a friend for 50 years and a friend of the BEST KIND, will miss him deeply.
Nick loved driving his 1947 Ford Coupe around town and he liked his music LOUD!
Nick also took the road often on his Harley Davidson Heritage Springer, which he very much enjoyed. The first time out Kim said they ran out of gas on the Grapevine, only to find out that Nick had forgotten to turn on the gas valve. After gripen' and hollerin', they rode off with Nick sayin' "You better not tell anyone!"
