Ofilia Rodriguez Tinoco

December 2nd. 1954- May 29th. 2017.

Born in Los Herreras, Nuevo León, became a life-long resident of Arvin, California.

From a young age, she started what would be a lifelong devotion to harvesting grapes at El Rancho farms in the rich farming community outside of the city in which she resided; Arvin, California. She decided to head to night school for a degree in medical assisting in The late 80's and completed her studies and was hired by the office of Dr. Olsen, but would dedicate herself to what she had a passion for; running a crew of hard working people in the grape harvest. After several years of running her own harvest crew, Ofilia made the position of supervisor and oversaw the success of several harvesting crews until retiring due to illness in 2012.

Ofilia loved working for a living and any of the people who worked for her would share the same sentiment as many of her employees grew to befriend and have a loving relation with her.

Aside from working, Ofilia loved tending to her flowers that can be seen all across house. She enjoyed her pet dogs and spent time with them whenever she could. Also, one of her favorite pastimes was trying to hit the jackpot at the local casino.

Beloved mother, grandmother & great grandmother. Survived by her husband Mariano Tinoco and her children; Ana Lee, Jose Luis, Mariano & Jacky. Her grandchildren Maritza Nicole, Freddy, Mariah, Israel & Devin Nathan. Her great grandchild Aiden Andrew, all whom brought great joy to her.
