Patricia “Patsy” Rose Carrete
Patricia was born on September 26, 1932 to Benny and Millie Teutimez and was sister to Jimmy, Eleanor, Lorraine and Donald. Patricia died peacefully at the age of 91 on January 12, 2024. Patricia attended local schools in Bakersfield and was married to Robert Carrete for 54 years up until his passing in 2007. Patricia was a homemaker for many years and often took care of nieces, nephews and others who needed childcare. She was also employed with the Kern High School District and worked at South High School.
Patricia was a devout Catholic and member of St. Francis Parish. She was also a member of the Legion Of Mary and at one time became President. A position she took pride in. She wasinvolved in many activities at St. Francis, one of her joys was making Rosaries to share with others. She often referred herself as “I’m just a little ‘ol lady from St. Francis church !” with an ending of “Thank you Jesus”. Patricia was energetic and always looked forward to spending Saturday evenings at Sinaloa to dance the night away with her Husband, Robert. She never missed an opportunity to get on a dance floor whether it be at a wedding, birthday party, wherever there was a celebration she was out there especially if a Mariachi group was present.
