Patrocinia Melendrez was born November 3, 1946 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Vicente Garcia and Juliana Serna. She passed away January 16, 2020 in Bakersfield, California.
Patrocinia grew up in Bakersfield, California. She worked as a C.N.A . for thirty years. She started her career at Emanuel Convalescent Hospital. She loved her job as a C.N.A.
Family was very important to her. Patrocinia enjoyed raising her grandbabies and great grandbabies. She loved spending time with her brother and sisters. She also loved to play video games on her phone.
She is preceded in death by her Father, Vicente Garcia; Mother , Juliana Serna; brothers, Wincy, Luis and Felix Garcia; sisters Jenny Villareal, Bertha Leyva and Nellie Marrufo and by granddaughter, SoMarie Bustinza.
Patrocinia is survived by her husband of 31 years, Thomas Melendrez; sons, Thomas Melendrez, Jr. (Sonia) and Daniel Melendrez all of Bakersfield, California; daughters, Frances Norton (Shawn) of Phoenix, Arizona and Rachel Melendrez of Bakersfield, California and sisters, Tina Carrera, Mary Valdez, Paula Smith and Romie Carbajal. She also leaves behind 23 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren.
She was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
