Paul Chacon

Paul Martinez Chacon, Jr. was born May 11, 1936, was immortalized as he entered eternal life on the first day of July 2021. He went to rest surrounded by his family in his home in Shafter, California, where he spent the best years of his life married to his best friend, Odelia Enriquez Chacon. Paul was the father of 5 incredible daughters; Sandra & Kino Gonzales, Polly Chacon and Freddy Gutierrez, Barbara and Albert Barrera, Yolanda and Daniel Cruz and Cynthia Chacon who will miss him dearly with each passing day. He had a love for life rivaled only by his love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren, all 20+ of them. He was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his beloved wife Odelia, his grandson Nicholas and his great granddaughter, Hope. He is survived by his brother, Jesse, George, Richard and Rudolph Chacon along with countless family and friends. A celebration of life will be held for Paul a Basham and Lara Funeral Care (343 State Ave) on Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 4-8 p.m. Mass will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, at St. Therese Church (300 W. Lerdo Hwy) at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial service at Shafter Cemetery. The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support from everyone who adored Paul and welcomes all to pay their respects.
