Penny Foxal Highfill

Penny Foxal Highfill September 24, 1953-February 24, 2020 Penny was born on September 24, 1953. She was a native of Bakersfield, CA. Penny was a graduate of Foothill High School and San Joaquin Valley College where she received a degree in the health care field. She loved to care for others and was employed by various Senior Living and Rehabilitation Centers. She enjoyed the simple things in life like "dinner and a show." Hallmark and popcorn were her mainstay. Her whole life she loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and encouraged her children to have a personal relationship with Him. She was committed to her daily devotionals, volunteering at church and participating in church choir. Penny enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She is preceded in death by her father, Bernard Foxal and her former husband, Russell Highfill Sr. She is survived by her mother, Lillie Foxal. Children: Russell & Jennifer Highfill, Cindy & Brian Hosty, Kristy & David Harris, and Shannon & Michael Powell. Sisters: Patty, Pami, Candi, Tami, and Terri. 19 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Chapel Services will be on March 10, 2020 at 10:00am Basham Funeral Care 3312 Niles St, Bakersfield, 93306
