Ralph Flores Ramirez

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our beloved father, Ralph Flores Ramirez, age 79, he passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 1, 2018. He was born in Bakersfield and raised in McFarland only to return to Bakersfield to finish high school as an E.B. Blade. Ralph served in the Army from 1961-63, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was an expert in rifle and pistol arms. He worked for the BCSD for 32 years before retiring. He coached JBA and GBA. He loved to go gambling, the movies, golfing, bowling and Dodger games. He was the youngest of 4 brothers. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Rosemary, his children Eva (Mike), Angie, Ralph Jr. (Sandra), and Joseph (Elizabeth). Grandchildren include, Alex, Breanna, Andrew, Emma, Christian and Chloe. We will truly miss our father but know that he is no longer in pain and at rest. We would like to thank Dr. Lee, Derrick and Johnnie of BFMC, and Dr. Honari.
Visitation on Wednesday, March 7, 5-8 P.M. at Basham Funeral, 3312 Niles St. Funeral on Thursday, March 8, 9 A.M at St. Francis Catholic Church followed by a graveside service at Greenlawn Cemetery S.W. 2739 Panama Ln.
