Richard "Rick" Lopez Villalpondo
February 26, 1957 — May 6, 2019
He is preceded in death by his father Earnest, His Step Father Joe, His Father In Law Ramon R. Perez, and Sister In Law Irene Perez
Richard later move to Bakersfield. He started working at a very young age. First truck driving then starting his own Farm Labor Contracting business for a total of 30 years.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Betty Villalpondo of 38 years. His Mother Bertha Hernandez and Mother in law Alice Perez. Together they had 4 children Sons, Richard Villalpondo Jr and Wife Lisa, Arcie Villalpondo and Wife Lindsay, Mat Villalpondo, and Daughter Tammie Villalpondo and Her Fianc Francisco "Frank" Vidal.He had nine grandchildren: R.J., Caleb, Isaiah, Lucas, Dylan, Dakota, Elliot, Samuel, and Nathan.Sisters: Monica, Rachel, Mona, Melinda, and YolandaSister In Laws Emily and LydiaBrother In Laws Raymond, Rudy, and TonyAs well as many Nephews and Neices.
Richard had so many friends that loved him. He loved the Dallas Cowboys!
He was the most loving, giving, positive man ever.
We will forever miss him and one day we will join him.
Services are as follows:Basham Funeral Home3312 Niles StBakersfield, CA 93306 Tuesday Evening Service May 14th5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.mWednesday Morning Service May 15th will also be at Basham beginning at 10:00 a.m.Following the service we will have "Celebration of Life" Location will be announced at the services.
