Robert Brandon "Bob" December 19, 1940 - February 16, 2021
Bob Brandon was born to Bob and Evelyn Brandon in Dos Palos, California. After a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease, he joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Absent from the body, present with the Lord 2 Corinthians 5:8
Bob had an amazing work ethic. Starting as a child he worked before and after school as the family followed the crops up and down the west coast, eventually settling in the Buttonwillow area. Bob graduated from Taft High School and was drafted into the Army in 1963 while attending Taft College. He was Honorably Discharged in 1965. Bob graduated from the CHP academy in August 1967 and married Linda Davis 2 days later, in Shafter, California. They celebrated 53 years of marriage in 2020. While in the CHP he graduated from CAL State Bakersfield with a B.A. degree.
Bob retired from the CHP in 1981. He worked as a private investigator (Brandon Investigations and Chips Attorney Services) until hired by the Kern County District Attorney's Office as Director of Collections (Checkbusters). Bob retired after 20 years as "Mr. Check Buster".
Bob is survived by his wife, Linda, Daughter, Erin, Son-in-Law, Russ Sedam, granddaughter, Jordan and Grandson, Joshua, mother-in-law, LaVerne Herod, sisters, LaRee Twitty and Wendy Guerrero (Ricky) and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Alva May and Lauri Hope and Brother, "Big Jerry".
Bob was a Godly man, generous with his time and money. A great husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a great storyteller with many tales.
He loved the Lord his entire life and wanted everyone to have eternal life with Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saints (believers) Psalms 116:15 Bob is a Saint. We love you Bob and will see you in Heaven!
