Robert Gonzales December 20, 1939 - November 01, 2020
Second born child in a family of 10, Bobby was born to Eligio Flores Gonzles and Elvira Zuniga Gonzales, on December 20, 1939 in San Angelo, Texas. The family moved to California in the summer of 1940. Bobby attended Our Lady of Guadalupe School, Fremont Elementary, Golden State Junior High and Bakersfield High School, graduating in 1959. He started working for Farmer John Egg ENT (Valley Egg Co.) in August of 1959, as temporary help. He worked there for the next 60 years. He semi-retired in 2008 as Manager of the plant, working until just shortly before his death.
He was married to his first wife, Vickie, from 1960 until 1974. Together they had two sons, Robert, Jr. and Timothy. He married his second wife, Dora Maria in 1983 in 1983 and they remained together until his death.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; his older sister, Mary Alice and his brother, Samuel. He is survived by his wife, Dora; brothers, Eligio (TA)(Becky), Tony (Grace), Danny (Dee Dee), Mike (Lori), John Vasquez (Loraine); sisters, Alice Castaneda and Gloria Clyburn; sons, Robert and Tim; special nephews, Giovani and Alex; grandchildren, Serena, Robert III, Dylan and Luke and three great grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and lifelong friends.
Bobby was always generous to others, helping without being asked and not expecting anything in return, refusing to let you repay him. If you found he had helped someone, you did not hear it from him. He had a salty sense of humor that he got from his mother, retaining it to the very end. The world is a dimmer place without him, and he will be sorely missed. Pallbearers will be his sons and his brothers.
