Roberto V. Romero

Roberto was born on August 10, 1928, to the parents of Narciso and Margarita Vasquez in El Prado, California and passed away peacefully in his home on June 11, 2022. Roberto grew up in Wasco, CA where he attended catholic school, he then moved to Bakersfield where he and his wife Elida purchased their home and raised their children. He was a wonderful husband. father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle. Roberto enjoyed sitting and reading his morning paper while drinking his cup of coffee every morning. He loved for his family to visit him and share all his stories with his grandchildren about his years working at Pacific Southern Foundry in Bakersfield and International, ROTCEH Bodega Planta in Tijuana, MX, Zaloom Brothers, and Valley Truck Design. He is preceded in death by his wife Elida Romero, parents Narciso and Margarita Vasquez, Brothers: Epifanio, Pete, Ralph, Benino, and sisters: Esther, Antonia, Angelina, Son-In-Law Rolando Delgado, Grandson Jon Spry, and Great Grandson Jaiden Ramirez. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Roberto Jr and Dina Romero, David and Lupe Romero, Richard and Margaret Romero, Lorene Delgado, Sylvia and Alex Rodriguez, Rita and Jonathan Trundy, 19 Grandchildren 38 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. Viewing and Rosary is scheduled for Monday June 27th at 5:00 p.m. at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles St. Mass will be held Tuesday June 28' at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. 1515 Baker St. Bakersfield. CA 93305. Graveside Service will follow at Hillerest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd.
