Roberto Salas Cardiel, age67, passed away at his home in Bakersfield, CA on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 19, 1951 in Luis Moya, Zacatecas, Mexico to Severo Cardiel and Adelina Salas. On July 17, 1993, he married Micaela Cardiel.

Roberto's special interests and hobbies included being the first one on the dance floor as he loved Cumbias and Norteas, watching Club America beat the rivals Club Chivas, and spending quality time with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, children; Conchita (Gustavo), Marisol (Pablo), Evelina (Juju), Lorena, Roberto Carlos and Roberto Rocha; 11 grandchildren; sister Margarita (Francisco); and many nieces and nephews.

The viewing and rosary will be Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 4-9 pm at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles St, Bakersfield, CA 93306. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 11:30 am at St Augustine Parish, 10601 Myrtle Ave, Lamont, CA 93241. Burial will follow at the Arvin Cemetery. The family will greet friends and family after the burial at their residence with food and beverages.
