Rosemary Schultz passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 23, 2016. She enjoyed a deep faith and frequently shared her excitement about meeting her maker when the time came.
She was a wonderful and accomplished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Rosemary was a long time resident of Springville and then Porterville, California. She worked for many years as a graphic artist for Jostens in Porterville. Among her many and diverse accomplishments were helping design graphic art for the 1984 Olympics, authoring many short stories and articles, some of which were published in well known magazines.
She will be fondly remembered by her children, grandchildren and their friends by her beautiful singing voice, her beautiful art, and her enthusiasm to make any Halloween costume her grandchildren's heart desired. Her expertise as a seamstress was exquisite.
Rosemary would tell you that her greatest accomplishment and love is her three children, Becky Hall (John), Doug Schultz (Shelly), and Jenny Buss (Terry), her grandchildren Julianne Wong (Jimmy), Jessica Asaff (Harl), Alexandra Hall, Daniel Schultz, Marcus Buss (Sarah), Jack Hall, Allyson Schultz, Bobby Castaneda, and great-grandchildren Garrett Wong, Landon Buss, Claire Asaff and Johnathan Buss.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Susannah and George Glonka, and two brothers Eugene and Jack Haller.
She is survived by siblings Suzanne Ledeboer, Lois Krueger (Richard) and George Glonka.
Rosemary was a member of Porterville Church of the Nazarene, and enjoyed her friendships there.
As a mother and grandmother she was no shrinking violet. She had no reservations asserting her opinion, and guidance, like it or not. However, those opinions always were accompanied by complete and unconditional acceptance and love. Her opinions, guidance and love will be greatly missed, and her grandchildren will miss hearing "I love you, not as much as Jesus does, but almost" at the end of every conversation and in every card and many more sweet "Grammy" sayings.
The family would like to thank Hoffman Hospice and especially the staff at The Pointe at Summit Hills for their tender care, and Msgr. Craig F. Harrison. To celebrate Rosemary's life, a private family service will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Youth Center, The Summer Children's Program, 900 H Street, Bakersfield, CA 93304, or to a charity of your choice .
