Rosie Davis went home with her beloved Jesus on March 5th at age 93.
Rosie was born to Leonarda Ruiz on November 18th, 1926 in Tehachapi, CA. In her youth she enjoyed going to dances and spending time with friends. Rosie met her husband, Paul Davis, in Bakersfield, California and married in 1966. Rosie raised three beautiful children whom she adored: Monica Minu, Leonard, and Cynthia Leadra.
Rosie had a zest for life and a natural charisma! She was kind, generous, and held immense gratefulness for life's simple gifts. Rosie's tender heart embraced every one she met with unconditional love. She had a gift of encouragement and spent her days bestowing all who knew her with spontaneous acts of kindness. To be in Rosie's presence, was truly to experience the love and presence of the Father.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Rosie enjoyed spending time in the garden, listening to her favorite songs, and spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Rosie's grandchildren were her world. After her husband passed in 1988, she dedicated her life to nurturing her grandchildren in the love of God. Throughout her entire life, Rosie held an unwavering faith in Jesus, which strengthened the faith of her family and all who surrounded her.
Rosie joins her husband Paul, son Leonard, mother Leonarda, Ta Tina, brother Jesse, and sister Mary in Heaven. She is survived by her daughters Monica Minu and Cynthia, grandchildren Christina and Joshua, son-in-law Jesse, special niece Gloria, beloved nieces and nephews, and countless honorary grandchildren. We will miss her immensely, but know that she is home in the loving arms of her beloved, Jesus.
"What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived"-
the things God has prepared for those who love him."
- 1 Corinthians 2:9
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
- John 14: 1-3
