Ryan Christian Valdez was born in Bakersfield, California on August 26, 1996 and passed away January 13, 2018 at the age of 21. From an early age his love for things with wheels has always stuck with him. It started with power wheels, scooters, and bicycles. In his younger days he was out on his bike first thing in the morning until sundown, he could make it across town on his bike by the age of 12 and never let the countless injuries he received deter him from following his passions. As he grew older his love for scooters, mopeds, cars and then his great love: motorcycles grew as well, he was always out riding or working on his bikes for endless hours.
He was the most charismatic person you could meet, so much so that having the simplest encounter with him always left an impression on your life. He just had an infectious way about him, you couldn't help but smile when you talked to him. It is said about him that he knew no strangers, he was able to connect with people from all walks of life. His love and devotion to his family was second to none, Ryan would be the first one to stand up for his family without reservations or fear; that's how he lived is life, with pure passion and fearlessness. His motto was "I Live My Life My Way," and that's what made RyanRyan.
He is survived by: Mom and Step-Dad, Monica and Jesse Bolaos, Dad and Step-Mom Dominique and Angel Valdez; his siblings, Kylie, Mathew, Jacob, Mia, Alyssa, Bella, and Dominique; Grandparents, Henry and Val Barron, Todd and Helen Wise, Ralph and Geneva Valdez, and Jesus and Mila Bolaos; and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his grandfather Oscar Muoz, and great-grandparents Andrew and Ruth Negrete.
Funeral services will be held at St. Francis Church on January 21st Rosary/viewing at 7pm and January 22nd Mass at 12pm. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery.
