Sergeant Tyler Michael Tinsley

1991-2016

Tyler passed away September 30, 2016 in a tragic motorcycle accident in Oceanside, CA at the young age of 24 years, while serving as an active duty Marine.

He was born in Bakersfield, CA on October 31, 1991, the first born to Shelly and Mike Tinsley. He grew up in Bakersfield, CA and graduated from Frontier High School in 2010 and joined the Marine Corps that same year, honorably serving his country for over six years.

To know Tyler was to love Tyler. He had a great sense of humor and contagious laugh. He loved making others laugh yet took his role of father and oldest brother seriously. He was protective over his children, Railyn Christine Tinsley and Dalton Michael Tinsley, his brother, Bradley Tinsley, and his sister, Reese Tinsley.

Tyler had a close bond with both his mother and father and his extended family. He had a way of telling stories that would bring tears of laughter to all who listened. His playful nature was magnetic, and his love for adventure and outdoors was at the very core of who he was. Fishing, hunting, camping, swimming and even just relaxing in the backyard with family and friends were some of the things he loved.

Tyler was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His life will forever be etched upon each of our hearts, and treasured and cherished as we remember him and look into the faces of his precious children. We thank God for the time that we were given with Tyler and we take hold of the hope given to us through Christ Jesus that we will see him again.

Tyler is survived by his wife Amanda Tinsley, his daughter Railyn Christine Tinsley, his son Dalton Michael Tinsley, his mother Shelly Tinsley, his father Michael Tinsley, his younger brother Bradley Tinsley and his little sister Reese Tinsley.
