Sheila Faye Newburg of Bakersfield, California was born in Columbus, Georgia on November 29,1950 and was an air force brat her whole childhood. She passed on October 14, 2022 at Windsor Nursing Facility in Bakersfield after a long 2 months of recovering at USC Keck Medical Center in Los Angeles from two major heart surgeries. She never fully recovered due to breathing complications but decided that she was ready to live the remainder of her life close to friends and family and to just be comfortable with hospice care. Her younger brother Billy Hill predeceased her by 7 months and survived by her brother Earl Hill his wife Dee Hill of Missouri, her Daughter Judith Whittington and son in law John Whittington of Texas, her son, Russell Newburg II of Bakersfield and her 3 grandsons Codey Montoya, Dallas Whitington and Jacob Whittington also 6 nieces and nephews. Sheila loved to hang out with her friends and family. She loved to talk on the phone and she would never meet a stranger. She enjoyed singing, dancing ,laughing and going to church when she could get there. She loved the Lord and knew that heaven was going to be an unbelievably amazing place. A celebration of Life will take place in a couple of weeks at the place she resided for the last 10 years of her life.
