Shelly Renee Frick Waters Shelly was born February 3rd, 1965 in Porterville, CA to the late William “Billy” Frederick Frick and Donna Kay Ramos Frick and passed unexpectedly in Bakersfield, CA on July 18th, 2021. Shelly is survived by her sons William LeeRay Waters of Homedale, ID, Tommy Ray Waters (Amanda Nichole Sparks) of Bakersfield, CA, grandchildren Creeden Jay Waters and AnnieMarie Waters. Shelly also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. To have met Shelly, you knew what the life of the party meant. She was gifted with the ability to create fun and adventure for herself and those brave enough to join in. NEVER a dull moment. Her early childhood was filled with family outings, friends and exploring. Shelly’s backyard was the entire Frick Family ranch. She attended Arvin schools and graduated from Arvin High in 1983. Early on, she followed in her father’s footsteps as an accomplished horseback rider. She loved traveling to rodeos and excelled at barrel racing. Horses were always close to her heart. She could easily be found out on a country road riding a horse in her boots and cowboy hat. Always a country girl, Shelly loved anything outdoors. She could kill a snake, herd cattle, operate a forklift, drive any car and sing along to her favorite country songs. She loved her sons dearly that she shared with her ex-husband Terry Waters and was always proud of them. Later, when her grandchildren were born, Shelly cherished her role as Grandmother and spending time with them was her most recent passion in life. Private family services are planned.
