Sidney Jin Chang was born on October 13, 2002 to Philip and Yuri Chang in Bakersfield, CA. She passed away on June 3, 2018. Sidney attended Stockdale Christian School from Pre-School through Jr. High. She just completed her Freshman year at Stockdale High School. She is survived by her parents, Philip and Yuri Chang; siblings, Michael and Aspen Chang; paternal grandmother, Jung Chang; maternal grandparents, Sangchun Lee and Jungsook Seo; aunts and uncles, Susan and Mike Cha, Julie and John Ko, Janie and Joey Yi and Judy and Paul Lee; Uncle and Aunt, Jaehee and Andrea Lee; cousins, Katie, Christopher, Kelly, Noah, Ella, Taylor, Ava, Emma, Jeongjoon, Sooyeon and Soochang.
Sidney was a blessing to everyone she met. She was kind, loving, funny, talented, beautiful, and adored by all of her friends and family. She was taken from us much too soon, but we will never forget her and the constant joy and good times that she brought with her wherever she went. We'll never forget the smile on her face and the love that she showed. She is in a better place now, watching over all of us, and we will all miss her dearly.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Bakersfield First Assembly (4901 California Ave.) A Reception to follow the funeral service in the Church's Family Ministry Center.
