Sue Nell Henderson

Sue Nell Henderson, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020, at the age of 85. She was united with her husband of 56 years, Jim Henderson, who preceded her in death in October 2014.

Sue was born June 17, 1935 in Cobb, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Edna (Garland) Sloan. She took pride in being a mom to her sons, Rodney and Danny. Sue attended and was the song leader at Lamont Assembly of God for many years and continued serving the Lord at Canyon Hills Assembly of God, where she found joy in attending Curt and Robin Kunzmann's Sunday school class.

She is survived by her sons, Rodney and his wife, Sheri; and Danny and his wife, Stacey. Sue's four grandchildren, Evan and his wife, Elexa; Thaddeus; Eran and his wife, Annie; and Zacceus; and her three great-grandchildren, Zayden; Kashton; and Bradley were the lights of her life. She is also survived by her kindred spirit and sister, Judy Toy.

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 20, from 5-7 pm at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles St, Bakersfield, CA. The service will be Saturday, November 21, at 11:00am at Basham Funeral Care.
