Teresa "Terry" Gutierrez
Teresa "Terry" Gutierrez was born on November 6, 1950 in Fabens, Texas to Jesus & Lorenza Arroyos, and the fourth of six children. Her family moved to California from Texas in 1954, when Terry was just 4 years old. Terry went to Fremont Elementary, Lincoln Junior High and Bakersfield High School along with her siblings.
Our mother worked in the medical field and KCEOC for a retirement program leading a group known as her "Busy Bees" until the death of her husband in 1986 when she chose to retire and give her time to her children. She later went on to work at the Kern County Coroner's office for a few years, then officially retired again. She was always very active in the community and continued to do outreach with various organizations such as: PAL (Police Activities League), Blade Booster Club, Valley Bible Fellowship, and others.

Mother went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 18, 2019 and was met at the gates of heaven by her parents and sisters, she is now pain free and no longer suffering. We would like to thank the emergency room medical staff at The Bakersfield Heart Hospital that did all that they could to save our mom on that fateful day. We would also like to give a special thanks to our mother's "Darling" Hilda Nunez.
Mom, we will miss you dearly, but find comfort in knowing that you are rejoicing in heaven with your parents and sisters whom you loved and missed so much. This is not goodbye but a see you later.
