Reflections of Life

Mr. Tracy Montell Watson

Tracy Montell Watson was born in Bakersfield, CA on November 25, 1966 to Columbus and Diana Watson, Jr. Tracy was the eldest of four children. He attended Caldwell Elementary and Enterprise Junior High in Compton, CA and South High School in Bakersfield, CA. Tracy was heavily involved in sports. He played little league baseball, basketball, football and later became a member of a baseball traveling team.

Tracy's four daughters were his pride and joy ~ Yiesha, Tracey, Ashlee and Kerr-iona. On April 2010 Tracy married the love of his life, Charlotte Nelson. Not only was he blessed with a beautiful wife, he was blessed with Denysha, a daughter as well.

Tracy was full of life and was fun to be around. One of his enjoyments was entertaining his family and friends, playing card games, dominos and spades. His favorite recreational activities were swimming, fishing (and he was the best at it) and riding his dirt bikes. However, his expertise was in the field of electronics; especially programming Fire Sticks.

Tracy was also a rock to his wife and a great provider. He always was fixing on just about any and everything , even if it wasn't broken. He was a Die-Hard Steeler fan. He always loved to brag about how his cooking was better than anyone else. Tracy was also a great and devoted father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

Tracy Watson departed this life on Friday, November 1, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, Columbus Watson, Jr.; grandfather, Rudolph Mangrum; grandmother, Lula Belle Watson; (3) aunts, Cecelia Watson, Devonne Mangrum and Miniola Stancil; and brother-in-law, Teddy Nelson

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife for over 9 years, Charlotte Nelson-Watson; mother, Diana Watson; grandmother, Mosetta Mangrum and grandfather, Columbus Watson, Sr.; (5) beautiful daughter, Yiesha, Tracey, Ashlee, Kerr-iona and Denysha; (2) grandsons, Ju'Ron and Zay'len; (2) granddaughters, Miyana and Simone: (3) adorable sisters; Tamika (Anthony) Murphy, Sr. of Long Beach, CA, Tiffaney (Christopher), Mitchell, Sr. and Tatanisha (Murrice) Herron, Sr. of Bakersfield, CA; his beloved extended family; (3) sisters-in-law; Cathy (Jamal) Powell, Sandra Nelson and Deshawn (Marsha) Reagins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
