Visitation will be held at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles St., Monday, June 6, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., recitation of the Rosary at 12 p.m. Catholic funeral rites will be held at St. Francis Church, 900 H. St., Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 10 a.m. for Vickie T. Behill. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery, 730 Potomac Ave.
Vickie was born in Bakersfield on March 18, 1952 to Frank and Louise Behill. Vickie took pride in her secretary positions and was employed most recently with the Kern County Fire Dept. for 17 years before retiring. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She had a loving, caring and generous spirit, often opening her home to family and was like a second mother to several of her nieces & nephews. She was the heart of her family and will be greatly missed.
Vickie was preceded in death by both of her parents; daughter-in-law Nancy Lopez; brother Jacob Behill Sr. She is survived by her son Sean Lopez Sr.; granddaughters Vanessa Vogan & Christian Sotelo, Kayla & husband James Guodace; grandson Sean Lopez Jr.; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters Louise Galindo & Linda Behill; brother Frank Behill Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends. We want to give a special thanks to her nephews Eddie Zazueta Jr. and Samuel Carrera Jr. and nieces Michelle Franco and Eileen Tercero for all your help with mom.
