Vincent Gonzalez passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 22, 2020 in Bakersfield, CA. He was born on March 18, 1944 in Mercedes, TX to Vincente and Librada Gonzalez.
Vincent grew up in Mercedes, TX until 1962 when he and his family moved to Fresno, CA. He worked in the agriculture industry for 57 years as a diesel mechanic before retiring in 2013. He enjoyed family time, fishing, camping and woodworking. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Vincent married Candy Reyes in 1970 in Parlier, CA. They were married almost 49 years before her passing in 2019.
He is survived by his seven children and spouses: Angelica Castro, Ronnie and Tammy Gonzalez, Vince and Tracy Gonzalez, Gilbert and Adelina Hernandez, Joe and Diana Salas, Ruben and Annabelle Moreno, Johnny and Adela Nolan. His eighteen grandchildren: Joe Salas Jr., Daniel Gonzalez, Nathaniel Gonzalez, Netashia Fritch, Sabrina Coleman, Gabrielle Castro, Joshua Castro, Vinny Gonzalez, Ruben J. Moreno, Ryan Nolan, Natasha Gonzalez, Jacob Moreno, Cecilia Johnson, Kayla Castro, Breanna Nolan, Alexis Moreno, Marissa Nolan, Alex Gonzalez and his twenty-nine great grandchildren. His brothers: Ray Gonzalez, Adolfo Opo' Gonzalez, Frank Gonzalez. His sisters: Virginia Moreno, Bertha Silva and many nephew and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Candelaria Candy' Gonzalez, his parents Vincente and Librada Gonzalez, his brother Paul Gonzalez, his sisters Petra Pumarejo and Juana Jaynee' Romero, his son-in-law David Castro, his grandchildren Eddie Mendoza and Kylie Nolan.
