William transitioned to his heavenly home on July 26, 2017. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. William was the youngest of 11 children and was born in Bakersfield, CA on August 15, 1984 to Clifford and Virginia Grimes. He had a great sense of humor, was easy -going, intelligent, personable, generous, and humble. He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Grimes, sisters Lawana Anderson and Melanie Francisco. He leaves to cherish his memory wife Maria and their 4 children William Jr., Mariah, David, and Malachi; father Clifford Grimes (Rada Grimes); his eight siblings Monica (Philip Horsey), Misty (DeVon Croney), Meecha (Travis Bivens), Melita, Lillian, Henry (Tresa Grimes), Leah (James Banks), and Jessica (Traco Matthews), and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday on 8/4 from 4-8, and the Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, 8/5 at 10 a.m. Both services will be held at the Church of God, 100 Oswell St., Bakersfield CA.

William was loved and will be dearly missed.
