Ysidra (Chilly) Hurtado
Chilly has blessed us with 84 years of life, love, and laughter. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Chilly was born in El Paso, Texas on May 15th, 1934. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1953. A few years later, she met her sweetheart, Robert, at a wedding when he asked her to dance. Chilly married the love of her life on August 24th, 1957 and moved to California to begin their journey together. She quickly gave birth to her two children, Richard and Debbie. Many saw her as a woman who was fiercely dedicated to her family and enjoyed sharing her love through cooking. Chilly worked many years as a Secretary for Sears and JC Penny's. She was known as an amazing wife, devout mother, caring grandmother, loyal friend, and a lover of Jesus. She passed away on October 3rd, 2018 with her family and loved ones by her side.
