Jesus Reyes Espinoza

Jesus Reyes Espinoza, 58, passed away on April 8th, 2023 at his home in Wasco, California. Jesus was born in Rancho Nuevo de Atotonilquillo, Guanajuato Mexico to Eduvijes Reyes and Tomasa Espinoza. 

Jesus grew up in Rancho Nuevo until the age of 19 when he migrated to Buttonwillow, California. In Buttonwillow he made many great, lifelong friends and met his future wife. Jesus worked for Torreta Farms for since his arrival in Buttonwillow. 

Jesus married Josefa Moreno in 1990 in Buttonwillow, California. They were happily married for 32 long and beautiful years. 

Jesus is survived by his spouse Josefa; his children Jesus Reyes, Cecilia Verbera, and Rebecca Reyes; his siblings Ramona, Guadalupe, Trinidad, Blas, Teodora and Mariano; and other loving nieces, nephews and family. 

Jesus was preceded in death by his parents Tomasa and Eduvijes and brother Juan Reyes.

 A visitation will be held at Basham & Lara Funeral Care 343 State Ave. Shafter, Ca at 4 PM on April 17, 2023.A funeral service will be held at St John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church 1300 9th place. Wasco Ca at 10 AM on April 18, 2023.. Burial will follow the funeral at Wasco Cemetery.
